More details on specific scenario representations

  • The following scenario representations have been used for the acid deposition scenarios in FINSKEN:
    • A1T A1-technology-scenario with predominantly non-fossil fuels (MESSAGE model)
    • A1C A1-coal-intensive-scenario (MESSAGE model)
    • A1A A1-scenario with advanced air pollution policies (IMAGE model)
    • A1P A1-scenario with present air pollution policies (IMAGE model)

    • A2 A2-scenario (MESSAGE model)

    • B1A B1-scenario with advanced air pollution policies (IMAGE model)
    • B1P B1-scenario with present air pollution policies (IMAGE model)

    • B2 B2-scenario (MESSAGE model)
  • The atmospheric composition scenarios are based on the following SRES emission scenarios:
    • A1T A1-technology-scenario with predominantly non-fossil fuels (MESSAGE model)
    • A1C A1-coal-intensive-scenario (MESSAGE model)

    • B2 B2-scenario (MESSAGE model)

The global and world region emission data sets can be downloaded from the SRES data pages.
